It’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) time again, and that means a great opportunity to meet your volunteer board members and learn about the club’s operations – all in under an hour.
AND, everyone who attends as a voting-eligible member will be entered into a draw to win 4 tickets to this year’s Stars on Ice show on May 1!
Each year, we need enough members to show up!
It’s sometimes tough to get enough people to the meeting. We need at least 30 voting-eligible members to show up or we will be unable to hold our AGM – and that can leave the club unable to operate. So, if you’re a parent or skater age 18+, please plan to attend if you possibly can.
Hear about the club and important decisions
Central Toronto Skating Club is a member of Skate Canada and a non-profit organization. The day-to-day operations of the club are run by a board of member volunteers who handle things year-round like member registration, answering email questions, negotiating ice time, paying our bills, and setting prices and policies. The board strives to make decisions in the best interest of members.
At the meeting this year, you’ll:
- Get an update on club activities
- Learn about concussion safety
- Hear about the club’s financial status
- Help elect new Board members
- Be entered into a draw for FOUR Stars on Ice tickets!
If you are interested, you can review the Minutes from last year’s AGM. These are to be approved at this year’s meeting.
Please plan to attend
When: Friday, February 28, 2020, 6:30 p.m. (during the CanSkate session)
Where: Moss Park Arena Boardroom, 140 Sherbourne Street, Toronto, ON
Note: Please try to arrive 10 minutes early, as we need to identify and count voting members, to ensure we meet quorum.
Thank you again for your membership and support, and we hope to see you at the meeting!
