As a Skate Canada member club, the Central Toronto Skating Club adheres to the regulations of the Skate Canada Helmet Use policy. On July 1, 2011, Skate Canada implemented this policy as a proactive safety measure to help protect members in the early stages of the CanSkate program that are learning how to skate.
The CSA approved logo can be found on the back of the hockey helmet affixed to the outer shell of the helmet indicating year of production. The expiry date is 5 years after the production date on the CSA label (see below, left image) OR indicated on another seal (see below, right image).
All CanSkate and CanAdult participants will not be allowed on the ice without a certified CSA helmet or with an expired helmet.
